A TEACHER should inspire students to excel in academics. PARENTS should inspire their children to utilize the knowledge gained through education to bring about positive change in the world. Strong communication is the foundation for parent – teacher partnership, and a link connecting the child, his/her home and school.
As a step in this direction, Amrita Vidyalayam had organised orientation programmes for parents of classes 9 to 12 on May 20th, classes 5 to 8 on May 27th, for the nursery section on May 31st, and classes 1 to 4 on June 3rd. The orientation programmes were conducted in the school auditorium.
The program began with our beloved Amma’s quote, followed by the lamp lighting ceremony carried out by our school Principal Mrs. Chetana J. Parents were briefed about the CBSE assessment pattern, calendar of events and list of holidays for the academic year 2023-24. The subject teachers explained the curriculum and teaching methodologies, as well as the rules and regulations of the school including co- scholastic activities. The Principal addressed the parents, giving them an insight into the innovative strategies to be adopted during the current academic year. She also answered various queries and concerns raised by the parents.
The orientation program, provided information about the school’s plan of action for the academic year 2023-24 with regard to the students’ learning and overall development.
