AMRITA LEAP WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS

Teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam, Bengaluru, immersed themselves in a transformative two-day capacity-building workshop. They engaged in icebreaker activities, where drawings represented each teacher’s personality, and fostered mutual understanding. Teachers were metaphorically likened to leaves nurturing society, with our revered Amma symbolizing the indispensable sun.

The workshop unveiled surprising talents, eliciting laughter and amazement. It covered diverse aspects, from cultivating student attitudes to employing the CUP method for knowledge absorption, fostering subject interest, and instilling passion. Inspirational stories, spanning from educators like Chanakya to Abdul Kalam, and the “Cycle Guru,” Adithya Kumar, deeply resonated with the teaching fraternity.

A pivotal moment showcased Amma’s adept handling of individuals based on unique mindsets, emphasizing the crucial understanding of students’ mentalities for effective teaching. Tradition and the three keys to success in life were underscored. Teachers delved into India’s illustrious heritage, discovering that Indians pioneered education for research globally. India was proudly acknowledged as the “Mother of All Countries.

To test focus and concentration, trainers challenged teachers to do the opposite of instructions. Group enactments explored daily challenges faced by students and teachers, culminating in both hilarious and meaningful performances. Anticipating more enlightening sessions, teachers acknowledged themselves as perpetual learners. The key takeaway from this workshop was, ‘As teachers, we must dream big, instilling ambitious aspirations in our students to shape individuals, nations, and societies.’ A heartfelt thank you to all the trainers for this enriching experience.

Special gratitude to our dynamic Manager Brni Aradhanamrita Chaitanyaji, Administrator Kottreshappa sir, and beloved Principal Mrs. Chetana J. for organizing this outstanding workshop. May our Satguru Amma Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi shower her choicest blessings on all of us and help us be the best educators.
